GPP joins with IATSE Locals 479, 600, and 798, and in association with the Teamsters Local 728, have joined in a collaborative effort with Georgia’s production companies, studios, and other industry professionals to contribute to the relief efforts for the victims of the recent hurricanes. We have partnered with an organization called Caring For Others, Inc. and are collecting items on their behalf, which they will sort, pack, and transport directly to Houston, Orlando, and surrounding areas impacted by the storms.

You can bring donations in north Atlanta to SAG-AFTRA Office (3565 Piedmont Rd, Bldg. 2, Suite 720, Atlanta 30305) or in south Atlanta to the IATSE Local 479 Office (4220 International Parkway, Atlanta, 30354) between 10:00 AM-5:00PM.
By Volunteering
Caring For Others, Inc. will be accepting donated items at their warehouse, located at 3537 Browns Mill Rd., Atlanta, 30354 and is seeking volunteers to assist in the sorting and packing of donated items. Volunteers are welcome to go directly to their location between 10AM-3PM – for more information, click HERE. They will need volunteers during those times every day through the weekend and into the following week. Interested volunteers should ask for Ms. Shockley when they arrive.

How can productions help?
We would love for productions to get involved in these efforts as well. Talk to your UPM about collecting items at your production office. Challenge the company to match the donations brought in by the crew. UPMs can have items they collect/donate delivered directly to Caring For Others, Inc.’s warehouse, or contact Local 479 for help getting their donations picked up and delivered to the drop-off location.
